LoL Summer Split: Odds & How to Bet

The LoL summer split is under way with markets open for the group stage and playoffs. Here is what is on offer and what moves it.

LoL Summer Split: Odds & How to Bet

Summer is the most heavily bet stretch of the LoL calendar because results decide international qualification. Bookmakers price deeper than usual, and the higher match density means more chances to bet badly.

Why format decides value

Bo1 is high variance: one bad teamfight ends it. Bo3 and Bo5 give the stronger side room to show it, so favourites are more reliable in longer formats. The same pairing must be viewed differently at Bo1 and Bo5 — the most common group-stage mistake.

Markets worth knowing

Map handicap. In a Bo3, -1.5 requires a 2-0. This is the market for backing a gap rather than a result.

Map totals. Whether a Bo3 ends 2-0 or 2-1 — about margin, and often a better reflection of reality than the winner market.

In-game markets. First tower, first dragon and total kills reward viewers who follow team style rather than the standings.

What moves the price

Mid-split patches are the strongest factor and the least watched. An update to champion or objective strength can neutralise a team's signature style, and prices lag reality for the first days.

Roster changes come second. One substitution matters more than in football because jungle-mid coordination takes time to rebuild.

LoL summer markets are open for the group stage and playoffs.

Before you stake

No prices are quoted here because they move by play day. Check the format, read the latest patch notes, and set your stake before you look at the price. The full guide is in how to bet on League of Legends.
